14K Yellow Gold

It has less copper content and delivers a beautiful neutral warm that compliments most skin tones. It is hypoallergenic but can cause discoloration on some due to the copper and silver content.

14K Rose Gold

18K Yellow Gold

Higher gold content produces a rich yellow gold. An alloy containing 18 parts gold to 6 parts silver, copper, zinc.

Due to higher gold content this alloy is slightly softer, yet still a very practical choice for everyday wear. It is also more expensive than 14K valuable

Recycled Platinum

More rare than gold, also more dense and more expensive. Platinum is a great hypoallergenic option for a white hued metal that won't tarnish. White gold often contains nickel, so when desiring a precious white metal Platinum is recommended. All SH platinum is 100% recycled and refined by our trusted suppliers.

Sterling Silver

"The metal of the moon" - A beautiful milky white precious metal. Sterling silver is often alloyed with copper for added strength. It is the most ubiquitous metal used for jewelry, offering a much lower price point than gold and platinum. Sterling silver is prone to tarnish and turn black, which easily will polish away to reveal the lustrous white metal, and for many 925 collectors is part of the allure. It is hypoallergenic, as copper and silver are pure metals, and though it is rare, it may turn your finger green due to the copper content.

18K Rose Gold

A peachy rose gold, less pink than 14k rose gold due to the higher content of pure gold. This also makes 18K gold softer and more valuable than lower karat alloys. It is still a very practical and popular choice for everyday wear.

24K Pure Gold

Rich, saturated, vibrant gold. Because most of SH jewelry is heavy and structural we can offer a small selection in 24K pure gold. The most valuable and also the softest option, (It is very malleable, scoring 2.5 on the Mohs scale, the reason it is alloyed with tougher metals like silver and copper.) 24K is not recommended for delicate jewelry but for heavier structural pieces like the Madrone it will weather remarkable patina like a good pair of Japanese denim.
